Two Reasons for Seasons:

- Earth is tilted on its axis (23.5 degrees)

- Earth rotates on this axis, but orbits in a regular plane around the Sun.

Depending on the position of the Earth in its orbit, one hemisphere (northern or southern) may be angled toward the Sun, providing Summer, or angled away from the Sun, which is winter.
