Leaching
Leaching.
LEACHING!
Leaching is the removal of substances by percolating water. The movement of dissolved substances or particles into a horizon is called illuviation. The movement of dissolved substances or particles out of a horizon is called eluviation.
Some substances, including sodium and potassium, use a process called active transport to permeate cell walls. Active transport is controlled by other body systems. It limits the quantity of these substances passing through the plasma membrane to match the needs of the body.
It is a removal of a top soil through wing or water

Cave floors, by the precipitation of calcite dissolved in ground-water passing through the limestone's joints above the formation.
I'm pretty sure it's true.
Proteins made on "bound" (attached) ribosomes leave through the cell membrane, and other proteins will enter the cell.
Two Factors are the type of material. The best material water moves through is a partially permeable membrane. Another factor is the substances dissolved in the water and the substances inside the material. There can also be if there are pores that are connected.
Yes. They are different, although sharing many of the same functions. The overall function is to purify water. A water filter typically is for getting rid of larger, insoluble objects. ie, grains of sand. As it is a 'filter', the water is passing through a physical medium and substances dissolved in the water will also pass through. A water distiller would typically be used AFTER filtration. The distiller is to get the pure water. (as things dissolved in water like salt will get left behind) So, it removes all, or most of the dissolved substances in the water. It is the best form of purification. Simple evaporation can take place in evaporating dishes (takes forever) or this can be accelerated by warming or boiling the water and using distilling tubes :) I hope this helps :)
