Hydrogen is an element, it can be produced commecially by electrolysis (electrical loosening, not the beauty treatment of water, early scientists in the eighteenth and nineteenth century did this with batteries and test tubes and thus proved that Water is a compound - of Hydrogen and Oxygen and not an element as was thought in the The Days of the Greeks (people still refer to the weather- rain, for example, as (The elements). Hydrogen is the lightest known gaseous substance and is highly explosive and volatile (easily set off) For this reason it is not normally used in commercial applications of explosives- such as demolition charges, mining, etc. Remember botht he Hindenberg disaster (l937) and the Hydrogen Bomb the deadliest of the Nuclear weapons heads! Nothing to play around with H-2.

Commercial hydrogen is obtained from which gas?

Commercial hydrogen is primarily obtained from natural gas through a process called steam methane reforming (SMR). This involves reacting methane with steam at high temperatures to produce hydrogen and carbon monoxide. It can also be obtained as a byproduct from the electrolysis of water.

Is hydrogen peroxide found in nature of is it man made?

Hydrogen peroxide can be found in nature in trace amounts, mainly in the atmosphere and in some plants as a byproduct of photosynthesis. However, the hydrogen peroxide used in commercial products is typically manufactured through a chemical process.

What is hydrogen evolution?

Hydrogen evolution is the process in which hydrogen gas is produced by the electrolysis of water or through a chemical reaction. This process is important for producing hydrogen as a clean energy source for fuel cells and other applications.

How is hydrogen converted into energy in a hydrogen bomb?

In a hydrogen bomb, the process of nuclear fusion converts hydrogen atoms into energy. This occurs when the nuclei of hydrogen isotopes, such as deuterium and tritium, combine to form helium, releasing a large amount of energy in the process.

What is the smell of hydrogen?

Hydrogen gas itself is odorless. However, commercial hydrogen can sometimes contain impurities that may give it a slightly metallic or ammonia-like smell.

What is the process called where we add hydrogen to the molecule?

The process is called hydrogenation.

How is hydrogen water made and what are the steps involved in the process?

Hydrogen water is made by infusing water with molecular hydrogen gas. The process involves using a hydrogen water generator or hydrogen water bottle, which electrolyzes water to produce hydrogen gas that dissolves into the water. This can be done by simply adding hydrogen tablets or using a hydrogen water machine to create hydrogen-rich water.
