It is still pretty cool. Highs 75-80, lows 40-60. I would take a jacket and an umbrella. Some days are overcast in early June. I was in Russia last summer in the first week in June and had a light weight down jacket with me. I was glad I did.

Why is the ocean warmer in September than June?

Because heat builds up throughout the summer early August sees the warmest day temps at about 24 celsius in England water is a strange substance and it can take a while to warm up or cool down. So whilst the day temperatures may be highest in August the sea takes about a month to follow the highest temperatures of the year and finally by late August early September the sea actually reaches its maximum temperature around 19 Celsius in England. The average sea temperature in June is 14 Celsius which is comparitively cooler than September and it also acts as a cooler in June and thats why the hottest time of year is normally later than June. this effects June's day temperatures so much that September has slightly higher day temperatures than June an example of this is the September high day temperature is 21 and the average low is 13.8 this is all in Celsius. June's average high day temps are 20.6 and the average low is 13.1 Celsius and also because September is warmer on average how can it be possible for September to have cooler ocean temperatures than June it not possible especially as water is so good at staying cool and warm. But anyway still a majority of people insist that June is warmer than September when this is untrue. I have even more evidence of this, the highest September temperatures recorded was 36.2 celcius whilst June's highest is 35.6 Celsius. The record low temperature for Britain in June is -6.1 Celsius and the record low for September is -5.2 Celsius. So as you can see it is so obvious why the ocean is warmer in September than June.
