I believe there are only 5 different air masses in the US:
1. Arctic Polar
2. Continental Polar
3. Maritime Polar
4. Continental Tropical
5. Maritime Tropical
Hope this helped!

Warm/moist(2)
Hot/Dry
Cold/Dry
The major air masses that influence the weather in the United States (USA) would be maritime polar, continental polar, maritime tropical, and the continental tropical.
(1).arctic polar (2).continental polar (3).maritime polar
There are six types of air masses that effect the weather. They are: continental arctic, maritime arctic, continental polar, maritime polar, continental tropical and maritime tropical.
There are 6 major factors that help to determine weather. They are air temperature, air pressure, humidity of the air, amount and kind of cloud cover, amount and kind of precipitation, and speed and direction of the wind.

Fronts are associated with cyclones, or areas of low pressure, and occur when cold air masses meet warm ones (1). The circulation of the Earth's atmosphere causes the cold air to move eastwards and equatorwards (2) and the warm air to move eastwards and polewards in a wedge shape called the warm sector (3). This movement causes the front to buckle (4), with a warm front to the east, where the leading edge of the warm sector is replacing cold air, and a cold front to the west (5). Because cold air moves faster than warm air, the warm sector is gradually squeezed and the front occludes and decays (6).
Tropical rainforests gather most at the equator. This is due to the air masses from both hemispheres meeting here, and collecting large quantities of humidity.

6 Major masses affected the united states
The record is 6.
Interstates: I 15; I 80 Federal highways: US 6; US 50; US 93; US 95; US 395
Season 6 starts on September 23 (2009).
LOST aired on ABC. It had a total of 6 seasons.
I am not sure when it will air here but it airs in AUS March 12th @ 6:30.

Most tornadoes form in thunderstorms. When the cT and cP air masses meet they create instability in the atmosphere. As the cT air mass start to go up the cP air mass (basically the air) within the updraft tilts the circulating air from horizontal to vertical. The area of the rotation can be 2-6 miles wide and can extend through out the storm.
6 hours and 40 minutes
there are 6 major/ important ones but there are about 45
Every Fri. at 6:30 I think. It airs on nicktoons on the weekdays
as many as you can count
