There are three types of groundwater -
1) Connate which is entrappped brackish water found in the cracks or open spaces of rocks
2 Juvenile which comes directly from magma
3) Meteoric the type most often refered to as groundwater that is fresh, circulating water in the rocks open spaces.
Different crops have varying nutrient requirements, pH preferences, and root structures, which determine the type of soil they will thrive in. For example, crops like rice prefer waterlogged soil, while crops like tomatoes require well-drained soil. Soil type also affects factors such as water retention, aeration, and nutrient availability, influencing the growth of different crops.
In Malaysia, the most common types of soil are sandy soil, clay soil, and peat soil. These soils vary in their composition, fertility, and water retention properties, influencing the type of vegetation that can thrive in different regions of the country.

Soil is classified as a mixture because it is made up of different components such as minerals, organic matter, water, and air. It represents a heterogeneous mixture because its different components are not uniformly distributed throughout the soil.
Sandy soil typically has a low water retaining capacity. This type of soil has larger particles with more spaces between them, allowing water to drain quickly rather than being held in the soil.

There are various types of soil. These include sandy, loamy, as well as clay. The squeeze test is often used to identify the soil type. There are hundreds of thousands of different soil types. The USDA recognizes 12 different soil textures, which is often what people mean when they say "soil type." Soil textures are different mixtures of sand, silt and clay.
Soil absorbency refers to the rate at which a particular soil takes in water. Different soils have different soil absorbencies.

Clayey soil
Soil is classified as a mixture because it is made up of different components such as minerals, organic matter, water, and air. It represents a heterogeneous mixture because its different components are not uniformly distributed throughout the soil.
the different type of soil found in India are 1] black soil 2] alluvial soil 3] red soil and 4th lateral soil
Clayey soil hold the most water of all, as sand and chalk. Loamy soil holds water but not as much as clayey.
Hard-pan clay soil percolates (drains) water the slowest.

Every plant has different soil needs; there isn't one type of soil that is the best for all plants.
