Global warming is happening and the earth is not cooling. It is warming. 2010 and 2005 tied as being the two hottest years on record, and the ten hottest years since 1800 have all been in the past fifteen years.
The concept of Global Warming being real or not is hardly a party issue. The concept has moved away from the science and moved into a very political arena. Both sides take a similar view on Global Warming. They ignore the science and claim that the debate is over. It almost seems like the Democrat party's stand on global warming is that global warming is caused by Republicans. If you want it colder vote for Democrats. If you want it warmer vote for Republicans. This, of course, is not their official position.
Some people imagine that global warming simply means slightly warmer winters and milder summers, overlooking the fact that if average temperatures rise around the globe, some areas will experience much higher temperatures, but other areas may even become colder. Some people imagine that global warming means higher food production will be possible, ignoring the fact that more prolonged droughts will reduce the food production in some areas, as will more frequent severe floods in other areas. People who think that global warming is good look to what they imagine to be the advantages of global warming, but overlook, or are unaware of, the harm that it can cause.
Hydrogen power could save us from global warming. If we could find an easy and cheap way to obtain it from water (H2O), then hydrogen is a pure and green fuel with no emissions except water vapor. Water vapour remains in the atmosphere for only a short time, as it soon builds into clouds and falls as rain, so it would not contribute to global warming the way carbon dioxide is. Cars and industry could run on hydrogen, as could electricity power stations.
its because global warming is actually the opposite of the natural phenomenon called "Ice Age". but glbal warming is the point where our climate should be very very hot which can kill human species. Today as we can see we were just having a short term global warming due to the earths cores heat which has been closer the the surface due to gravitaional forces in the solar system related to changes in Earth's orbit.
Volcanic eruptions can reduce global warming for a short time by blocking and reflecting the sun's heat with their dust and ash.
short answer...yes.
The political will is not there. Also, as one of the largest contributors to global warming, the US would have to make the biggest changes.
the elong and short term effects on the eureka stockade was that there was more global warming.
we can minimize it by cutting short the use of air conditioners, refrigerators, aerosol sprays and all the things which contain clouroflouorcarbons ( CCL2F2,CCL3F),which damage the ozone layer and become a cause of global warming.
Short term can cause personal problems. Long term can cause global warming.
Yes it makes my short buisness boom! its gone up 12% since 2001!
Not much use. Cold countries like Canada and Siberia will have a short-term time in the sun.
Global warming does not directly affect the way a ball bounces. However, changes in temperature and humidity levels can impact the elasticity of the ball's material, which may influence its bouncing properties over time.
It's about conventional current of air mass. Namely the Hadley cell.
Earth is currently in an interglacial period within an ice age cycle, which means that although global temperatures are warming, the planet as a whole is still experiencing the effects of the ongoing ice age. The term "ice age" refers to a period of time when large portions of the Earth's surface are covered in ice sheets, which is distinct from short-term fluctuations in temperature like global warming.
Generally speaking no. Humans contribute to global warming by burning fossil fuels. The disaster, if we can call it that, is that some people prefer short term profit and convenience rather than facing up to the need for solutions.
