Can pollution cause earthquake?

There is no known evidence of pollution causing earthquakes. However, earthquakes can inadvertently cause pollution by damaging areas that contain waste facilities, factories, or other places that may contain waste or chemicals that are dangerous to the environment.

How does industries pollute air?

Natural causes can be contributed to air pollution such as forest fires. Another contributor is deforestation caused by industries that remove too many trees that gives natural air. The last main cause is the pollutants from cars.

How do factories or cars cause air pollution?

Factories pollute the air by pumping out chemicals that are harmful for all the living things. That is why there is acid rain and global warming. There is a lot of science involved in this, but I don't feel like doing eight hours of research, so I will just put what I know down. Factories can pollute the environment through thermal pollution, chemical pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, for a few examples. Thermal pollution is when hot water is dumped into cool water in a river, lake, pond or bay. The difference in temperatures can promote algae growth, kill of native fish or wildlife, or it might cause disruptions in the water that causes the water to change temperature, also causing major problems with wildlife. Chemical Pollution is when chemicals are exposed to the environment, either by dumping them into sewage plants, where excess waste ends up in the ground. A good example of this is nuclear waste. This needs to be treated carefully or else it could completely destroy an area. Air pollution is when pollution is mixed in with the air. (Self-Explanatory) Noise pollution is when a factory causes a lot of noise... enough to effect the surrounding environment.

Can smoke from factories cause acid rain?

Yes, smoke from factories can contribute to the formation of acid rain. When sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides in the smoke combine with water vapor in the atmosphere, they form sulfuric acid and nitric acid, leading to acid rain. This acid rain can harm ecosystems, damage buildings, and affect water quality.

Is Chicago polluted?

In my opinion, yes. There are alot of factories their that cause air pollution, plus all the people that find it okay to leave their trash wherever they please doesn't help.
