I would probably say massive water swells near the bottom. But I thought that mountains didn't erode. They probably more deteriorate ya know? Thats what I think ,Massive water swells.
Mountains can get smaller due to various natural processes such as erosion, weathering, and tectonic activity. Wind, water, and ice can erode the rock and reduce the height of mountains over time. Additionally, tectonic forces can cause mountains to slowly decrease in height as the Earth's crust moves and adjusts.
Sandy soil tends to erode the fastest due to its loose structure and lack of cohesion. The particles in sandy soil are easily detached and carried away by water or wind erosion processes.
Soil will erode the fastest, as it is made up of loose particles that can easily be moved by wind or water. Sand is also relatively easily eroded, but rocks are more resistant to erosion due to their harder composition.
Water is typically the fastest agent of erosion due to its ability to transport and erode sediment quickly in the form of rivers, streams, and ocean currents.
Weathering breaks down the rocks that make up mountains over time, causing them to gradually erode and be worn away. This process includes physical (e.g. frost action) and chemical (e.g. oxidation) weathering, which weakens the rocks. As the rocks erode, the mountains gradually become smaller and transform into hills.
Earth's mountains form and erode from erupting and by shifting plates.
They can erode mountains.
the younger the mountains have not yet eroded.the mountains don't erode until they are old
Waterfalls can erode the rock and sediment at the base of mountains, creating distinctive cliff faces and valleys. Landslides can reshape the slope of mountains, altering their appearance by depositing new materials or removing existing ones. Over time, these natural processes can significantly transform the landscape of mountains.
