red because its made of hot solid rock. :P
The mantle is divided into sections which are based upon results from seismology. These layers (and their thicknesses/depths) are the following: the upper mantle (starting at the Moho, or base of the crust around 7 to 35 km (4.3 to 21.7 mi) downward to 410 km (250 mi)),[11] the transition zone (410-660 km or 250-410 mi), the lower mantle (660-2,891 km or 410-1,796 mi), and anomalous core-mantle boundary with a variable thickness (on average ~200 km (120 mi) thick).[4][12][13][14]
The top of the mantle is defined by a sudden increase in seismic velocity, which was first noted by Andris Mohorovicic in 1909; this boundary is now referred to as the Mohorovicic discontinuity or "Moho".[12][15] The uppermost mantle plus overlying crust are relatively rigid and form the lithosphere, an irregular layer with a maximum thickness of perhaps 200 km (120 mi). Below the lithosphere the upper mantle becomes notably more plastic. In some regions below the lithosphere, the seismic velocity is reduced; this so-called low-velocity zone (LVZ) extends down to a depth of several hundred km. Inge Lehman discovered a seismic discontinuity at about 220 km (140 mi) depth;[16] although this discontinuity has been found in other studies, it is not known whether the discontinuity is ubiquitous. The transition zone is an area of great complexity; it physically separates the upper and lower mantle.[14] Very little is known about the lower mantle apart from that it appears to be relatively seismically homogeneous. The D" layer at the core-mantle boundary separates the mantle from the core. The Earth's mantle is primarily composed of silicate minerals, which give it a greenish-gray color. However, the mantle is located beneath the Earth's crust, so its color is not visible on the surface.
the color of the mantle of the earth is orange, brown and red.
The upper mantle is typically a greenish-brown color due to the presence of minerals like olivine and pyroxenes. However, the upper mantle is located below the Earth's crust and is not directly visible, so its color is based on scientific observations and studies rather than direct observation.
The dominant rock type of the upper mantle is peridotite.
The lithosphere does not have a specific color as it is a rigid outer layer of Earth that includes the crust and part of the upper mantle. These layers are composed of various minerals and rocks which can vary in color depending on their composition.

A green marble mantle would go great with a brownish fireplace. It is my personal favorite type of mantle.
the color of the mantle is red.the color of the outer core is yellow,& the inner core is orange.

greenish in color, mantle, nacre, sofe
