Best Answer

Organic compounds are formed from carbon and hydrogen though sometimes there may be additional elements like oxygen, sulphur etc.
carbon and hydrogen generally make hydrocarbon.
hydrocarbons are also organic compounds.
hydrocarbons are classified as alkanes , alkenes & alkynes.
best example for hydrocarbon is methane...

a mixture of hydrogen and carbon can make a multitude of different hydrocarbons. This all depends on how many carbons and hydrogens are present. For example, if only one carbon is present, then it will make the hydrocarbon methane, or CH4(g). If more than one carbon is present it can make a chain of carbon and hydrogens, which can be an alkane (for single carbon-carbon bonds), an alkene (for double carbon-carbon bonds), an alkyne (for triple carbon-carbon bonds), cycloalkanes, (-enes, -ynes) (a number of carbons and hydrogens arranged in a closed shape instead of a linear fashion), or a benzene ring (six carbons and six hydrogens arranged in a ring with bonds almost like 1.5 bonds. )
