Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) is an air quality standard used before the mid 1980s to measure dusts and other particulate in the air . It was replaced with a PM-10 standard. The new standard focuses on smaller particles that can be inhaled and reach the lower regions of the respiratory tract. The PM-10 standard relates to particles with a diameter of 10 micrometers or less (0.0004 inches)
