Best Answer

The sun provides heat and light for the Earth. Without the sun's rays, Earth would freeze over, and all the inhabitants would quickly perish.

Earth gets heat, light and thus life. Life because plants take in light ( and warmth ) and turn it into sugars, then herbivores eat the plants. Carnivores eat the Herbivores. Omnivores can eat either plants or other animals.

That is what you ( a Homosapien living on Earth ) get from the sun !
