One concern is global dimming for example: soot and dust form clouds that reflect the sun rays back before they reach the earth. Another concern is global warming: carbon dioxide produced from buring fuel and many other things forms a layer around the earth that traps sun rays inside the earth and deflect them. When the sun rays travel from the sun to the earth the rays are supposed to hit the ground and bounce back to space. however, the carbon dioxide prevents the rays from being reflected back into space so the result is that the heat is contained in the atmosphere. This causes the earth to heat up much more than it is supposed to be so ice bergs are melting, sea levels are rising and the weather is changing. Also CFCs have been known for creating 'holes' in the ozone layer and these holes mean that harmful sun rays can reach planet earth. This could explain skin cancer and the dangers of sun bathing.

Does air pollution effect the earth's atmosphere?

Once it reaches the atmosphere, the rain will become acid rain and fall back down to the earth

How does factory emissions effect the atmosphere?

Factory emissions release harmful pollutants such as carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere. These pollutants contribute to air pollution, global warming, and acid rain, leading to negative impacts on air quality, climate change, and ecosystems. Reducing factory emissions through regulations and pollution control measures is crucial to mitigate these effects on the atmosphere.

How does a thermal inversion impact the dispersion of pollution in the atmosphere?

A thermal inversion traps pollutants close to the ground, preventing them from dispersing upwards and leading to higher concentrations of pollution in the atmosphere.

How may the increase of air pollution in the Earth's atmosphere cause global warming?

Air pollution would not cause global warming. Pollution of our air is rarely done with colorless gases. Sulfur Dioxide, for example has some color. These gases would cause an effect called global dimming. This increases the albedo effect and would cool the planet. Water vapor and CO2 cause the warming our planet. Most of this is very natural (over 99%). The addition of CO2 to our atmosphere is believed to cause some level of warming.

What is a thick vaporous atmosphere or emanation?

A thick vaporous atmosphere or emanation refers to a dense fog or mist that creates a hazy or murky appearance in the air. This can be caused by various factors such as humidity, smoke, or pollution. It reduces visibility and can create a mysterious or eerie effect.

What is the largest effect on how humans interact with the environment?

Perhaps the major effect that humans have on the environment is the pollution of the atmosphere. The greenhouse gases in this pollution are causing temperature rises all over the world.

What do scientists believe is happening to the earth because of the greenhouse effect and pollution?

Scientists believe that global warming is happening to the earth because of the greenhouse effect and carbon dioxide pollution in the atmosphere.

What is tertiary pollution?

Tertiary pollution occurs from damaging emissions being released into the atmosphere. This type of pollution can effect water supplies so tertiary water treatments are often used.

How does pollution effect the water vapor in the atmosphere?

Air pollution affects the air because it is smog ozone etc. that stays in the air and pollutes it because of the ozone.

Is pollution considered an effect of earthquakes?

No. Earthquakes sometimes cause pollution, but pollution is not an effect of an earthquake.

What is the effect of conserving fuel in our environment?

If you conserve fuel in your environment it lowers the amount of carbon dioxide pollution in the atmosphere and it stops the earth getting warmer.

How do earthquakes change the atmosphere?

Earthquakes affect the atmosphere by creating amounts of dust which add to the air that we breathe. Earthquakes can also trigger volcanoes which will release tonnes of ashes and other particulates into the atmosphere. This can sometimes cause the blocking out of the sun (cooling effect), air pollution and an increased amount of carbon in the air (warming effect).

What does pollution does?

Pollution is the release of environmental contaminants. The major forms of pollution include: *Air pollution, the release of chemicals and particulates into the atmosphere.
