∙ 16y agoAir flow is initiated when there is a difference in air pressure between two points. Air moves from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure to equalize the pressure. This can be caused by various factors such as temperature gradients, fans, wind, or the movement of objects through the air.
The flow aloft, specifically the jet stream, provides the necessary dynamics for cyclone development by creating divergence at the surface. Divergence aloft allows air to rise at the surface, which, combined with the Earth's rotation (Coriolis effect), initiates cyclonic circulation. This results in the development of a low-pressure system and the formation of a cyclone.
The flow of air is caused by coastal winds. The hot air rises, and colder air blows in to take its place. (land breeze)
