Not really. Although scientists can atempt to predict when earthquakes are likely to occur with the use of special equipment.

Its really a simple reason. In combat you are less likely to damage the face of the watch when it is on the inside of your arm.

Pencils, paper, erasers, rubber bands, etc. could be described in several ways. They are most likely to be called office supplies, but they could be called desk supplies, school supplies, writing supplies, and expendibles.
