What is pagmatite?

Pegmatite is a type of igneous rock with a very coarse-grained texture, formed from the slow cooling of magma. It often contains large crystals of minerals like quartz, feldspar, and mica. Pegmatites are known for their often high concentration of rare minerals and gemstones.
