How many millimeters of rainfall does Britain's driest area receive?

Britain's driest area, East Anglia, receives an average of around 600 millimeters of rainfall per year.

What is the difference of rainfall in Britain from east to west?

Generally, the west of Britain receives more rainfall compared to the east. This is due to the prevailing westerly winds bringing moist air from the Atlantic Ocean, which leads to more frequent and heavier rainfall in western regions such as Wales and Scotland. Eastern regions, sheltered by high ground and located in a rain shadow effect, tend to be drier.

3 types of rainfall and where each type is likely to occur?

There are three main types of rainfall, convectional rainfall, relief rainfall and frontal rainfall. Relief rainfall is when the warm moist air from the sea (Atlantic Ocean) is forced to rise over mountains and as the moist air gets higher it gets colder so it gradually condenses and becomes water droplets and it rains/ prcipitates. Relief rainfall is common along the west side of Britain where there are more high lands. Convestional rainfall is when the sun comes out and heats up the land, this causes the air around it to become warm too. The warm air currents rise and as it rises it gets colder so it gradually condenses and the water vapou become water droplets and it rains/precipitates. Convectional rainfall is mostly common around towards the south of Britain in the summer. Frontal rainfall is when cold air and warm air meet, the warm, light air wants to get past the heavy cold air so it casually rises above it. Its rising makes it get colder which makes the warm air cold air, it condenses and guess what? It rains/ precipitates! Frontal rainfall is mostly common all over Britain especially in the winter.

What is the biggest cause of erosion?

Water erosion, specifically from rainfall and flowing water, is the biggest cause of erosion on Earth. This type of erosion can wear away soil, rock, and other materials over time, shaping landscapes and impacting ecosystems.

Where does most of Britain's rain come from?

Most of Britain's rain comes from weather systems that form over the Atlantic Ocean. These weather systems bring moist air to the region, leading to frequent rainfall. Additionally, Britain's position on the western edge of Europe means it is influenced by prevailing westerly winds, which carry moisture from the Atlantic.
