Pitchstone is a rock; and therefore doesn't have a single hardness. Obsidian is technically not a mineral as it doesn't have a crystalline structure, however it isn't a mixture and has a hardness of roughly 5 - 5.5.
On Mohs scale of hardness, obsidian is about 5, which can just be scratched with glass.
