A limiting factor of a squirrel is that without them less

oak trees would grow because there wouldn't be

anybody to dig them into the ground to make oak trees

and that would be less air supply for us or there would

be to many acorns so there wouldn't be anyone to get

rid of them.

What is a limiting factor for the A limiting factor in an ecosystem is a needed resource that is in limited supply what would be a limiting factor for a predator species?

A limiting factor for a predator species could be a decrease in prey population, which would reduce the predator's food source. Additionally, competition with other predator species for the same prey can also be a limiting factor. Environmental factors such as habitat loss or degradation could further impact the predator's ability to thrive.

What does climiting factor mean in science?

In science, a limiting factor refers to a factor that constrains the growth of a population or the productivity of a system. This factor can be environmental, such as food availability or temperature, and when it becomes scarce, it limits the organism's ability to thrive. Identifying and understanding limiting factors is important in ecological studies and resource management.

Why is a drought a density independent limiting factor?

A drought is considered a density-independent limiting factor because it affects all individuals in a population regardless of their population density. It reduces the availability of water, impacting the survival and reproduction of organisms, leading to a decline in population size.

What is limiting factor of a desert biome?

Water availability is the main limiting factor in desert biomes. The scarcity of water restricts the growth and distribution of plant and animal species in these arid environments. Additionally, extreme temperatures and lack of nutrients contribute to the harsh conditions that limit the biological productivity of desert ecosystems.

What type of limiting factor is pollution?

It is density dependent. Density dependent are factors that limit a population only when the population reaches a certain density, such as illness or disease, competition, predation, parasitism, etc.

The less dense the population, the less severe the effect of the limiting factor. Examples: Predation and disease Density-independent limiting factor: A limiting factor that has the same effect on a population regardless of its population density.
