Generally the Phosphate dozing is done in the drum of the boiler. it helps to convert the calcium hard salts to soft sludges. the sludges are higher in weight ,so it comes to the bottem of the drum . then it remove by CBD.
this is one of the way of avoiding corrosion in Boiler.

The bulk density of bed material used in AFBC (Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion) boilers typically ranges from 720-800 kg/m3. This material is usually a mix of sand, limestone, and dolomite that helps maintain the proper fluidization of the bed during combustion.
what is light up procedure of afbc boiler
Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion Boiler (AFBC boiler) is a type of operational boiler. In a AFBC boiler a little more fluidized bed combustor is added than a conventional shell boiler.
what is boiler
afbc
afbc has high turn down ratio, burner arrangement is simple, low grade coal can be burnt efficiently,so2 emission can be controlled,
atmospheric fluidized bed combustion
Cfbc stands for circulating fludised bed combustion where as afbc is for atmospheric fluidise bed combustion afbc bed fluidising velocity is approx 4 m/s and in cfbc boiler fluidising velocity is 9-10 m/s. cfbc having low SOx & NOx comparative with afbc cfbc having higher efficiency up to 98.5 % then afbc boiler, cfbc boiler power consumption is more comparative to afbc.
(fbc) boiler to heat the Water that is mixed with a refractory material. With warming water temperatures will produce refractory materials that will ignite the oil in the water. The granular refractory materials are mixed with water. Refractory materials are heated in water to take it. c) boiler column. The steam comes out vertically. A) horizontal boiler. The steam comes out horizontally.

how we calculate the coal consumed to generate xxx MW say 12 hrs or 24 hrs in CFBC boiler please help
The bed materials in an AFBC (atmospheric fluidized bed combustion) system typically consist of a mix of sand, limestone, and fuel particles. Sand helps in fluidizing the bed, limestone aids in sulfur capture, and fuel particles provide the energy for combustion. The exact composition can vary depending on the specific requirements of the combustion process.
