What is the role of human activity concerning global warming?

• Since 1750 when we started building factories and steam engines we have been burning more and more fossil fuel (coal, oil and natural gas). This releases all the carbon that had been stored underground for millions of years. This extra carbon dioxide is a powerful greenhouse gas that is contributing to the runaway greenhouse effect, which is causing global warming, which causes climate change.
• Humans have also cut down the vast forests that used to cover our planet. Plants and trees absorb and store carbon and release oxygen (Fifty percent of a tree's weight is carbon). These huge carbon sinks are still being destroyed in many parts of the world.
• We burn oil to drive our transport and generate electricity.
• Too many factories are letting out CO2 and other pollutants.
• Obviously by the human activities being done by over three billion people in the world: pollution of all sorts.
• We are certainly a contributor. With 7 billion people (and climbing rapidly) on earth utilizing earth's resources and producing mountain of wastes, to think that we have little impact to earth is very naive and complete denial. There was a time when people believed that the ocean had endless amount of fish for us to eat. That's certainly isn't true now.
• By changing the ratio of forest to land clearings and altering the composition of the atmosphere.
• Oxidization of bio materials for energy.
• Cattle farming.
• Rubbish dumping.
• Destruction of plants and Forests that in turn rot and create more CO2 and so on.
