I'm sure you mean the magnetic field
The configuration of all lines of force around a magnet is called a magnetic field. The magnetic field represents the way in which magnetic forces are distributed in the space surrounding a magnet.
You're talking about the 'magnetic field', but you're not giving it enough credit. It doesn't only exist in the space around the magnet, but it technically extendsout to infinity, whether or not you can feel it past a couple of feet.
The Earth is similar to a bar magnet because a magnet holds other magnets or metal objects to it. The same concept goes for the Earth. Gravity from Earth holds all objects down unless another force acts upon it.
Yes, this is true because in magnet, there are many small domains which all point the same way... this makes a magnet wot it is. the reason that a papa clip will attract to a magnet is because of all the domains (tiny magnets) inside swerve around when they feel the pulse of the magnets field.. by hazap ........... .......... brap brap!
We all know that the magnet has north and south poles, but there is no charge for any pole of them. We say north and south in magnetism, positive and negative in electrostatic.

The Poles of the magnet.Poles are the tips or ends of the magnets where the strength of magnetism is great. The region or space around a magnet at which its force is experienced is called magnetic field.
The space around a magnet where the force of the magnet can act is the space occupied by the magnetic field. Alternatively we say that the magnetic field acts in the space around a magnet. That is a very qualitative statement with little predictive value. More predictive value is contained in a statement that the strength of the magnetic field at any position in the vicinity of a magnet is measured by the torque which is exerted on a small magnet moment (compass) place in the vicinity of a magnet. This, recorded with the direction the test compass points is actually a mapping of the magnetic field of a magnet. As a side note, if carefully measured one discovers that strength of the field around a magnet decreases as the inverse cube of the distance when far from the magnet. The field is mostly in the volume near the magnet but the weakening field continues to exist at all distances from the magnet.

magnetic pull
The opposite ends of a magnet are called poles. All magnets have them.
The volume surrounding a magnet will be filled with the lines of magnetic force. Since these are similarly polarized, they repel each other - eventually creating a sphere at a sufficiently large distance. This sphere is the magnetic field of that magnet.

Just as the sun and all the objects which revolve around it is called the solar system, so is some other star and all the objects that revolve around it called a stellar system.
All of space, all of time, and everything in them, is called the "Universe".
