If you use oxygen on a daily basis, you'll need a humidifier to humidify the oxygen in order for a comfortable flow of oxygen humid enough to prevent the nasal cavities from dryness, redness and eventually painful scabbing in throat and nostrils which can cause great discomfort. It is best that a humidifier is used when taking oxygen for an extended period of time.
