What makes the weather change?

Short AnswerWeather is caused by the movement of air and water in the atmosphere. Water on the earth's surface is heated by the sun. This causes the water to evaporate. As the air and water vapor are heated they begin to rise in the atmosphere. As they rise the air and water vapor begin to cool. This cooling allows the water vapor to condense on tiny dust particles in the atmosphere to form clouds. The air motion causes these tiny water droplets combine to form larger droplets and when the droplets are too heavy to be supported by the upflow of air they fall back to the ground as rain. (Or if it is cold enough at the surface, snow.) The rain collects into rivers, stream, and lakes. The water will evaporate again and the process is repeated.

Weather is caused by the meridional transportation (Poleward transportation) of energy and the incoming solar radiation which is unevenly received by the Earth's surface.

Energy has tendancy of moving from higher energy to lower energy (like holding one side of an iron bar with hands and burning the other side in the fire, you are going to slowly feel the burn).

The transportation of heat on Earth could be done by Earth's curst, ocean, and atmosphere. The major medium for the heat transportation on Earth will be ocean and atmosphere. Due to all these balance of heat on Earth, we have weather.

Well, rain evaporates in hot weather and is carried by clouds, if these clouds carried by warm air meet cold air, the water condenses as cold air is more dense and wont hold as much water vapor, if it is warm this is rain, if cold is snow.

Wind is caused by warm air rising and cold air moving to fill the vacated space.

Heat is caused by direct sunlight and kept in the atmosphere because it absorbs the heat.

Cold is the absense of heat caused by longer night caused by the 23 degree tilt on the earths axis
