Glaciers. Glaciers are large masses of ice that flow slowly over land, shaping the land through processes like erosion and deposition.
Valley glaciers are narrower and longer, flowing through valleys and carving deep U-shaped valleys. Continental glaciers are wider and thicker, covering large land areas and shaping landscapes through erosion and deposition. Valley glaciers are more localized in their impact, while continental glaciers have a broader influence on the land.
glacial deposition and glacial erosion
A glacier can completely reshape the land. As it is made of very heavy ice, this ice can erode surfaces from the debris and rocks that it carries and the amount of pressure it places on the surface beneath it during its movement.
Valley glaciers are formed in high altitudes (e.g. mountains) and continental glaciers are formed in high latitudes (e.g. Greenland). Therefore, they both cover land areas but continental glaciers generally cover more area.

Glaciers can carve out valleys and create u-shaped valleys through the process of glacial erosion. As glaciers move, they transport large amounts of sediment and rocks that accumulate at their edges, forming moraines. When glaciers retreat, they leave behind depressions that can fill with water, creating lakes.
NO
glaciers weather the earths surface
As the glaciers move over the land they help smash the land and also add silt and dirt to the ground.
It is the time when glaciers disapeared from the land before reforming.
Continental glaciers are thicker and larger. Valley glaciers are formed on mountains; continental glaciers are formed on flat land.
Glacial drift refers to the material deposited by glaciers as they advance and retreat. As glaciers move, they pick up rocks, sediment, and other debris, and when the glaciers melt, they leave behind this material known as glacial drift. This process of deposition and erosion by glaciers reshapes the landscape by carving out valleys, creating moraines, and smoothing out the land.
When they slide or move across the land they pick up rocks and soil which changes the Ground beneath it.By glacial erosion which is when slowly over time large U shaped valleys are carved out; or by 'plucking' which is when rocks or boulders are literally plucked up from the surface and carried down the valley.Rocks frozen underneath glaciers carve the land when glaciers move

1. it was cold 2. it was very forestry (there were a lot of trees) 3. glaciers reshaped the land there
There is about 4.9% of land covered by glaciers in alaska.
