The four levels of a rainforest are the emergent layer (top layer with tallest trees), canopy layer (dense layer of leaves and branches), understory layer (smaller trees and shrubs), and forest floor (ground level with decomposing plant matter). Each level has its own unique ecosystem and supports different species of plants and animals.
Sumatran rhinos strictly live on the ground. They cannot climb trees. The ground level of a rainforest is called the understory.
There are 4 basic levels to a tropical rainforest food chain. They are the primary producers (plants, flowers, fruits, leaves), the primary consumers (frogs, fish, possums, birds), first level carnivores (snakes, platypus, owls), and second level carnivores (crocodiles, pythons, feral dogs and cats).
Plants produce oxygen during photosynthesis by using sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. Animals, including humans, consume oxygen during respiration to produce energy and release carbon dioxide. This continuous cycle of oxygen production by plants and consumption by animals helps maintain the levels of oxygen in the atmosphere.
Ground level ozone is harmful to the environment and human health because it can cause respiratory issues, aggravate asthma, and contribute to smog formation. It can also damage plants and reduce crop yields, impacting ecosystems and agriculture.
The Amazon rainforest has a high level of biodiversity due to its complex and varied ecosystem, abundant rainfall and sunlight, and diverse array of habitats. This combination of factors allows a wide range of plants and animals to coexist and thrive in the region.
in my eyes
If all the trees of the rainforest were cut down, life would be impossible for the many types of plants and animals that live there now. The water throughout the region would be filled with dirt and runoff that is now captured by the trees and plants of the rainforest, likely enough to clog the rivers to the point that they stop flowing, lowering the level of the Amazon River and causing a chain reaction in which even more plants, animals, and people die.
there are many insects and animals. a gorilla for example lives on the forest floor level.
For both plants and animals it is the species. But there are subspecies in animals and cultivars in plants.
first lvl consumers are animals that eat plants animals that eat animals that eat plants are 2nd lvland so on
A tropical greenhouse More than two thirds of the world's plant species are found in the tropical rainforests: plants that provide shelter and food for rainforest animals as well as taking part in the gas exchanges which provide much of the world's oxygen supply.Rainforest plants live in a warm humid environment that allows an enormous variation rare in more temperate climates: some like the orchids have beautiful flowers adapted to attract the profusion of forest insects.Competition at ground level for light and food has lead to evolution of plants which live on the branches of other plants, or even strangle large trees to fight for survival. The aerial plants often gather nourishment from the air itself using so-called 'air roots';. The humidity of the rainforest encourages such adaptations which would be impossible in most temperate forests with their much drier conditions.

Zoologists study animals and botanists study plants. Biologists study both plants and animals together. Microbiologists study these things at a cellular level.
There are many animals in the rainforest, such as:tree kangaroos (Australia and New Guinea)cassowaries (Australia and New Guinea)green tree frogs and red-eyed tree frogstoucansorangutansFor a more comprehensive list of rainforest animals, see the related link.
