In terms of tensile strength, iron is stronger than copper. Iron is a harder and more durable metal compared to copper, which is softer and more malleable. This difference in strength makes iron more suitable for applications where high strength and durability are required.

I have been told that this saying came from the time when pirates were very active. Wealthy people would bury their valuables in metal boxes. When the pirates would come to the home, they would search the ground by sticking their swords into the ground hoping to hear the metalic sound to find their "treasure".

Do Cloud and Aerith have a child?

HECK NOT!!!!! if they do I'll hate cloud for life!!! cus i dislike the pair cloudXaerith ima more cloudXtifa pair._________________________________________________________________ Unfortunately it's a no and wait...another no...cause the Romance between Cloud and Aerith isn't well developed to the point they would have a one night stand (and also chances are gone now thanks to Sephiroth) the only given chances for Cloud having a kid or two of his own is if he and Tifa actually get together.eventually they will, I mean the two have been living together for over 3 years now, they have been through a lot, it's going to happen eventually I mean chances are they may need an heir to take down Sephiroth if ever he finds a way to revive himself a few years after Cloud has passed his oversize swords to an heir when Cloud well can't lift the damn things anymore I mean it will look like how Wolverine and Saber-tooth will forever be duking it out on each other or even the mighty Batman and Joker gonna be chasing each other in the streets of Gotham.but don't get your hopes up about Cloud and Tifa or Cloud getting himself either a Son or Daughter cause developing such new characters to the mix would result in turning them to be Mary sues/Gary stu or eventually screw the whole story of Final Fantasy VII over

What were the ancient Greek swords made out of?

During the bronze age, they were made of bronze. During the irong age, swords tended to be made of iron and armor often continued to be made of bronze, if the people using armor could afford bronze. Bronze is stronger than iron and less prone to corrosion, so it makes better armor, but iron is cheaper, and since can be made much harder than bronze it is preferable for blades.

Why was there a bronze age and an iron age?

The reason these metals and alloys had ages named after them was because of their importance in making weapons and tools. Copper alone was not much good for making swords because it is too soft. Copper swords kept bending. You can't fight with a bent sword. Tin on its own was too brittle. Tin swords would break. But adding a little tin to copper (to turn it into bronze) made swords much stronger without making them brittle. They would still bend if made too big, so Bronze Age swords were little more than daggers. Iron swords were best of all. The Bronze Age came before the Iron age because copper and tin can be smelted (extracted from their ores) at temperatures obtainable from an ordinary wood fire. The Iron Age came later because it takes much higher temperatures to extract and purify iron.

Why did the spanish have advanced to steel swords while incan's were still making tool and weapons from bronze?

bronze is easier to melt. steel is stronger than bronze and most importantly, its much lighter than bronze so you don't get tired swinging or even carrying the weapons. maybe that's why bronze armor is not used since it's super heavy.
