Some examples are formation of salts by reaction between a metal and any nonmetal other than oxygen; formation of molecules by reaction between two nonmetals, neither of which is oxygen; hydrogenation and dehydrogenation reactions of hydrocarbons; halogenations of hydrocarbons, etc.

To my knowledge, all photosynthetic organisms require oxygen to photosynthesize (especially as the chemical equation for photosynthesis includes oxygen).

There are two types of producers, the other type being chemosynthetic (bacteria, etc). Although this type of organism does also use oxygen. So, sorry but I'm unsure of there is an answer to your question. Sorry.
