Normally, sedimentary rocks weather more rapidly than igneous or metamorphic rocks due to the ability of water to attack the cementing material and the ability of ice, water and plant roots to attack and separate the depositional layers.

The answer is shale, the sedimentary end product of mud and/or mud with organic matter. Shale is normally high in clay mineral content. Limestone contains a large amount of calcite, and is subject to erosion via acidic rain. Schist rocks contain more quartz and feldspars which are fairly hard minerals.
