molecular formula
mabey it depends
an atomAnswer:In the atmosphere nitrogen is present as a diatomic molecule. Two atoms of nirogen (the element) are always joined together into one molecule.
If you're talking about a diatomic COMPOUND, it is simply a compound composed of two atoms or elements. [Di=two :) ] But if you're talking about a diatomic MOLECULE, it is a molecule consisting of 2 atoms, but only 2 non-metals since a molecule is a neutral group of atoms joined together by covalent bonds. There shouldn't be a metal, since that is not a molecule; a metal plus a non metal forms an ionic bond which isn't neutral because it has a certain charge.
sulphuric acid is a compound. It is not sulfur dioxide and water. The formula is H2SO4Sulphuric acid is the product of the chemical reaction that occurs when sulfur trioxide and water are mixed.
Yes, water is a polar molecule. Yes, a molecule consists of two or more elements... water consists of one Oxygen atom with two Hydrogen atoms... hence H2O. Yes. It is 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen
The atoms in a molecule are summarised by the molecular formula. The molecular formula is the identity and numbers of its constituent atoms.
In molecular compounds, atoms are joined by covalent bonds, while in ionic compounds, they are joined by ionic bonds.
Either molecule or compound
mabey it depends
A molecule
a compound (i think)
A compound.
covalent. It's a dissacharide made of one glucose molecule and one fructose molecule joined via a glycosidic bond
2 or more atoms joined together form a suspension, solution, mixture, or compound. I don't know what kind of joining together you are talking about so it could be any of the ones i had just mentioned.
A compound
I don't think there is a such thing, sorry. a molecule isn't the same as a compound. They are 2 different things a molecule is the smallest physical unit of an element or compound, consisting of one or more like atoms in an element and two or more different atoms in a compound. A compound is not. Hope this helps. =)
Diamonds are made up of many carbon atoms joined together to form a 'giant structure', so it is not a molecule, therefore it doesn't have a molecular name
