Well in science it could mean the biotic and abiotic factors. biotic means living, abiotic means nonliving.
Yes there are non-living factors in an ecosystem, suh as rocks, air, dirt, sand, (depending where it is) water ( the things living in the water are biotic, though.)
Hope it helped!
ecosystem
The term you are referring to is "ecosystem". An ecosystem consists of a community of living organisms interacting with one another and with their physical environment, which includes nonliving components like air, water, and soil. These nonliving surroundings provide the necessary resources for the community to survive and thrive.
Environment is what is surrounding us, whether living or non-living. Things we can see and feel, things we cannot see but feel e.g. air, people and their practices and landforms also the weather.
The term for the study of nonliving parts of the Earth is "abiotic factors," which includes things like soil, water, air, temperature, and sunlight. These components play a critical role in shaping ecosystems and influencing the distribution and abundance of living organisms.
Environment means ones surrounding and it is the sum of social, economical, biological, physical and chemical factors which constitute the surrounding of human being who is both the creator and moulder of his environment
Ergonomics is a term that refers to the study of human factors that affect the design and operation of tools and the work environment.

Biotic factors are living. Abiotic are nonliving.
The term environment refers to the surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or operates. It can encompass physical, biological, social, and other factors that can influence living organisms.
