How long did the 1989 loma prieta earthquake last?

15 long measley destructive seconds

What type of plate boundary was the loma prieta earthquake?

A conservative plate margin. These 2 plates run-along side each other, but because the plates aren't smooth they can get stuck, they can stay like this for decades and then suddenly one plate lurches forward. Just like the South American Plate, this made Loma prieta break out. Hope this helped!!

Where did the San Francisco Earthquake in 1989 happen?

Is there any connection between mount saint helens earthquake and the loma prieta earthquake?

Both Mount Saint Helens and the San Andreas Fault (source of the Loma Prieta Earthquake) sit on the Pacific Ring of Fire, but there really is little connection between the two. They both sit on the North American Plate, but San Andreas is a transform boundary with the Pacific Plate (meaning the plates move by each other), while Mount Saint Helens sits on a convergent boundary, where the Juan de Fuca plate is subducting beneath the N. American plate. A connection between the events is unlikely.

How long did it take to rebuild after the Loma Prieta earthquake?

It took months because so many buildings were destroyed in the Earthquake. The Interstate 880 freeway took 8 years to rebuild, and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge has not yet finished rebuilding from the 1989 earthquake.
