What are some trends in climate change in the last decade?

Temperatures have been going down for the last decade. I know that's not what the global warming alarmists wanted to happen, but it is true. 1998 was the hottest year of the current "warming period" (though not the hottest year in recorded history, as the alarmists claim - that was 1932). But even if 1998 was merely a "local temparature peak", it means that temperatures have not gotten that high since then. Therefore, temperatures have gone down.Interestingly, mankind has not decreased its emissions of carbon dioxide during the last decade. In fact, the burning of fossil fuels has increased over that time, just as it has over the last 150 years. In fact, the 2007 temperature dropped sharply from 2006, and the 2008 temperature is predicted to drop even more. The World Meteorological Organization blames this on the La Nina, and claims that as soon as the La Nina is over, temperatures will resume the "rapid increase" seen in the previous 3 decades. But for all we really know about climatology, a La Nina is the Earth's natural response to global warming, and it will continue until temperatures return to "normal", whatever that is.But here's the kicker, whether La Nina is to blame for the current cooling or not, the fact is, none of the climate models that predict global warming predicted that a La Nina would occur in the early years of the 21st Century. So, if they can't accurately predict climate for the next 10 years, why in the world are we giving any serious consideration to things that they are predicting to occur a hundred years from now?

Does it flood often in Australia?

Floods can occur anywhere in Australia. They are especially common in the north and the Gulf country of Queensland during the summer monsoonal season. When flooding occurs along Queensland or NSW rivers, the flooding can extend for thousands of square kilometres, encompassing several river systems at a time. Floods can occur anywhere along the east coast and along the inland rivers. The Hunter Valley of New South Wales and the NSW north coast seem to be areas frequently hit. Floods are also known to hit coastal areas of Western Australia.

What are the top 3 worst Typhoons in history?

Depends. If by worst you mean "largest lost of life", then the most recent storm would be 1975's Super Typhoon Nina. Nina's rains caused a major dam burst in mainland China, releasing a 30-foot tall wall of water over many tens of miles. It is estimated 229,000 people were killed. A typhoon that hit China in 1780 is believed to have caused about 100,000 fatalities. The #1 storm, a typhoon that hit Vietnam in 1881, may have caused 300,000 fatalities, making it the deadliest typhoon in history. "Dishonorable" mentions go to 1997's Tropical Storm Linda, with 1300 fatalities in Vietnam, and 1991's Tropical Storm Thelma, which killed 5,000-8,000 in the Philippines. In these cases, the storms were weaker, but the rains were torrential.

What typhoon caused the most damage in China?

The most damages in china are caused by Hurricanes Typhoons and cyclone. There is a brief question about cyclone but I'm just going to do the introduction. What is a Cyclone? A cyclone is a heavy wind that spins around (northern hemisphere) and damages environment. In order for a Cyclone to happen the water needs to be at least 26 degrees. Above the warm ocean the clouds are formed, it pulls and begin to rotate (spins). It starts to spin, that's how cyclone continues.
