Dont get excited, it doesn't really rain acid.

When pollution is high and it is also rainy the sulfur and other chemicals in the polluted air lower the pH of the rain to a point where it is mildly acidic.

I do not think it is even as harsh as Orange Juice, but it can be damaging to plants and will cause a more rapid erosion of soil.

On the good side it does sever the bonds that valuable nutrients have with the soil making them more available to the plants.
