The Museum of Natural History in NYC has a great collection of Fine Minerals and Mineral Specimens, but it recently closed its Hall of Minerals for renovation and will not re-open until 2019. In the meantime, you might visit a rock shop that features minerals for collection. One of the best is ROCK STAR CRYSTALS in the Chelsea area of Manhattan, which probably has the largest selection of different crystals and minerals in the city.
