mountain soil color in snowy area is white and in deserts is pale brown
Mountain soil is known as mountain soil or alpine soil. This type of soil is typically found at high elevations and is characterized by thin layers, poor organic content, and high levels of rocks and gravel.
The type of soil found in Uttrakhand is mountain soil . Mountain soil is generally pale yellow or brown in colour .This soil is formed due to the breaking of mountain rocks ,by rain ,wind ,ice, and plant roots
Red soil is typically derived from weathered rock material and tends to be rich in iron content, giving it a reddish color. Mountain soil varies depending on the specific location, but it is generally characterized by high levels of organic matter due to the diverse plant life found in mountain regions. It may also contain a mix of mineral components derived from the types of rocks present in the mountains.
silt soil is a reddish brown color :)
Alluvial soil is the debris/talus from weathering/erosion of mountain rocks. If the mountain rock is granite, the alluvial is the breakdown components of it which are clay, silicon and mica sand. This so called alluvial soil will be deposited around foothills and perhaps further down if acted by river system. My take on this one : ....By the same token the mountain soil should be the "in situ" weathered/eroded mountain rocks which have not been transported away from the mountain yet.

Mountain soil is soil that is found in mountainous regions, which tends to be more rocky, shallow, and poorly developed compared to soils in lower elevations. It has typically undergone a slower rate of development due to factors like steep slopes, rockiness, and lower temperatures, leading to specific characteristics that are influenced by the local climate, geology, and vegetation.
