A delta is an area where a river enters a larger body of water. Weathered particles are eroded and then deposited when the momentum of the river slows down. So a delta has to start with weathered particles and then the particles have to be eroded and then they are deposited. So a delta does involve all of these processes.
because it has plants and it covers the ground
It's called the floodplain and is extremely fertile. It can usually be easily recognized as it's very flat.
the area from which water drains into a river is called the river's catchment. A river's watershed is the connecting ridges surrounding the watershed, and separating it from adjacent ones.
Its a reservoir :)
A delta forms when the sediment from one area is brought to another area by a river after being eroded. The river will deposit the sediment at the mouth of the river, forming the delta.

The soil in this area was eroded after all the trees were cut.
Water erosion can be found in many places. One of them is in a canyon that has a river running through it. Over time the river eroded that area until it got canyon deep.
Depends what the agents of erosion are. For example: If it was ice, the area would be scoured clean. If it were water or wind, the eroded material may have been carried off, leaving only the eroded surface.
I dont believe this. I think it is formed when the river pushes its way out to the ocean/sea. It could also possibly be that in that area the material that makes it up is more soluble or is more easily eroded by the sea than other parts of the coast.
Where they can easily eat! There are actually FRESHWATER dolphins! IN THE AMAZON RIVER! WOW!

From the surroundings physical features of the area, such as near a river , glacier etc. the rock type will be round and pebble like. On the other hand if the area is arid most of the erosion would be caused by wind. Area rich in limestone etc. the erosion is mainly caused by chemicals.

The Continental Divide is actually the area which separates westward-flowing streams from eastward-flowing waters. It is often times also considered the Rocky Mountains which in all actuality make up the area.
