The whole world will be affected in one way or another by global warming. Millions suffered from the extensive, record floods of 2011, which may or may not have been caused or exacerbated by global warming. Although we can not say that any one climatic event must have occurred specifically because of global warming, scientists say that these floods are consistent with their predictions. In other cases, farmers will be affected by more prolonged droughts. Those who live in coastal communities may be affected by rising sea levels, higher storm surges and coastal erosion because of global warming. Millions may be displaced from low-lying areas of Bangladesh, China and some of the Pacific Island nations.

People have died from famines in Africa, and from floods in Thailand and Australia. People have died of the cold during severe winters in Europe.

We expect increased desertification of tropical regions, and greater flooding of coastal areas. Also, tropical pests and diseases are likely to spread to more northerly regions. Third world nations should expect to suffer the most from continued global warming.

Global Warming is known to affect all animals, mainly those who live on ice caps such as Polar Bears, Emperor Penguins and seals. Some humans who live in the South or North Pole are being affect as well...

As rain forests are being chopped down, those animals (birds, cats...etc) are being heavily effected.

People already are dying, due to:

• increased instances of catastrophic weather events (floods, tornadoes, cyclones)
• starvation and malnutrition due to loss of crops from these weather events
• spread of tropical diseased due to expanding tropical regions

This has been slowly occurring for at least the last 10-20 years but is accelerating.
