"Wanye Drops"
This is a riddle from a book of math puzzles. You solve some equations, match the numbers to a set of letters, and fill in the answer. I'm not going to give it away because some teachers assign it for homework, but the first name is a man's and the last name is a common English word that I've never heard as a name. I'd like to know where to get these books, by the way, since I can't find them by searching the Web or Amazon. If you know, please e-mail me at jerry_friedman@yahoo.com

Meteorology - or the study of weather and the atmosphere - has been around in different forms since Ancient Greece. For example, in 350 BC, Aristotle wrote Meteorology, and is therefore by some considered to be the founder of meteorology. Additionally, the Greek scientist Theophrastus compiled a book on weather forecasting, called the Book of Signs. The work of Theophrastus remained a dominant influence in the study of weather and in weather forecasting for nearly 2,000 years, until meteorology matured in the 19th century with the help of new tools and methodology.
The weather turned cold in "By the Great Horn Spoon" because the story is set during the California Gold Rush, which experienced drastic weather changes. Cold weather in the book added to the challenges faced by the characters during their journey and enhanced the overall narrative tension.
The book "Live Like It's Heaven on Earth" was written by Ariel and Shya Kane.
