Because those hurricanes were exceptionaly destructive.
beacause it goes back a long time way back to 2012 when it became much to confusing for sientists and they could not keep track of where all the hurricanes had been so now they started using sattelites because it is more precise
Hurricanes form the most in late summer because that is when the oceans are warmest. There is a season for Hurricanes. They start at diffrent times of the year for the Atlantic and the Pacific, but stop on the same day.
stop using cars and use alternative fuels and such. Everyone knows that it is smoke and fog that causes smog, and cars cause the smoke. Stop using fossil fuels and use renewable energy.
Stop cheating by using this for FLVS. STOP CHEATING!
We actually can. People have created structures/things that can prevent it from happening. Since hurricanes/cyclones/typhoons happen due to the temperature of the water and air, people have tried to create things that can effect the temperature, and prevent these natural disasters from happening. Obviously, this will also affect fish and the life in the ocean.
They didn't. There is an alphabetical list of names and they go down the list of name for each storm. When they get to the end they start over and they alternate the genders of the names.
No. Nothing humans do can stop hurricanes.

Until 1979, the lists were made up only of women's names, but because of claims that the naming convention was sexist, the lists of names for hurricanes and tropical storms after 1979 have alternated between men's names and women's names. So, they never stopped naming them after women... they just added men too in 1979.
No, earthquakes happen on there own. Kind of like how you can't stop tsunamis, tornadoes, or hurricanes.

Hurricanes begin die out when they come in contact with a landmass, or when they reach the coastline. Small islands are not enough to stop a hurricane.
They cant stop hurricanes because that is apart of weather. weather is one of the hardest things to change at all.
No, although I suspect that using enough energy to stop a hurricane would probably cause more chaos than the hurricane itself does. At present, the only source of energy sufficient to disrupt a hurricane would be a nuclear weapon. In the future, laser satellites may be used to steer hurricanes by using the laser to heat the seawater ahead of and beside the hurricane, which might enable weathermen to CONTROL the path of a storm instead of just predicting it. Again, in the long run, this might cause more problems than it solves.
Nothing. Although a few fringe groups have made proposals it is generally accepted within the scientific community that nothing can be done to stop or prevent hurricanes. All that we can do is to track and study hurricanes to help reduce damage and fatalities when they do hit.
Other branches can stop things that congress wants to happen by using the powers that certain branch has.
You can stop using it whenever you want.
