Why dj hurricane left beastie BOYS?

there were several reasons that DJ Hurricane AKA Wendell Fite left the B-Boys

#1 Money. Hurra wanted a bigger cut of the pie.

#2 Time. Hurra had a family to support and had issues with the boys taking so long between albums and tours.

#3 The Beastie Boys wanted to move in a new direction and expand their sound. DJ Hurricane is a talented DJ but he is not in the league of Mix Master Mike. MMM might be the best DJ in the world so when you get a chance to grab the world's best DJ you gotta do it. (I for one disliked any album after Ill Communication and although I recognize MMM's skills I think he removed the cool and replaced it with geek chic)

#4 The Beastie Boys matured/changed. They got married and had children. Everyone from Ricky Powell to DJ Hurricane said the Boys changed and were not hanging out like they used to, playing pranks, smoking and drinking. MCA also embraced a very gentle approach to life from his religious beleifs and from what I understand became a little preachy towards other people on tour about their behavior. This of course did not sit well with Hurricane.

#5 A beef between Mike D and Hurricane went down about Hurricane's album on Grand Royal.(Mike D was the president of label) From what I heard Mike D kept shelving Hurricane's album to get other artists signed and pushed. Then when they released Hurricane's album Grand Royal (Mike D) never pushed it and let it die a unceremonious slow death. Mike D and Cane patched things up but they were never cool like back in the day after that incident. Mike looked at it as a business deal and Cane looked at it like a betrayal of a friendship since they have been down since 1985.

#6 Hurricane's live concert skills did leave a little something to be desired and MMM treats a concert like a crazy head trip mixtape. Nobody can deny MMM's skills at a live show. I have also read that the Boys were bored with the standard "rapping over the original music" and liked how MMM would slip in curveballs and change up stuff to keep them guessing.

DJ Hurricane left the Beastie Boys due to creative differences and personal reasons. He wanted to pursue his own solo career and felt it was time to move on from the group.
