Because they form when the sun melts snow, but it's below freezing still so it refreezes. In the northern hemisphere, the south side receives more sunlight during the winter.
mainly by water runnig by it Snow sliding down the roof slowly so when it gets to the edge, the weight forces it under or towards the eve, so it slants toward the building to form curved icicles, (the overhang of the snow does it).
An icicle grows as water drips down the structure and freezes adding to its length and thickness. Organisms grow via the addition of new cells to the organs it contains. These organs grow from the inside out over the entire structure.
In South China, a subtropical climate with high temperatures and abundant rainfall during the growing season is ideal for rice cultivation. The warm and wet conditions support the growth and development of rice plants, ensuring a successful harvest.
Rainforests grow along the Equator in the areas called the tropics, which are hot, sticky and steamy all year round. The biggest forests grow in South and Central America and South-east Asia. There are also smaller forests in China, Australia, India, Madagascar, Papua New Guinea and on some of the islands in the Caribbean Many other countries can claim to have tiny scraps of rainforest.
Poppies typically grow best in cooler weather and are often planted in the early spring or fall. They can tolerate some heat but may struggle in hot summer conditions.

Icicles and living things are both affected by external conditions such as temperature and environment. Both can grow and change in response to these conditions. However, icicles lack the basic characteristics of living things such as cellular structure, growth and reproduction.
Icicles cannot grow in the sense that they are living. As water runs down to the tip of the icicle it freezes which makes the icicle appear to grow. It gets longer as more water runs down it and freezes. If there is no water to run down the icicle, even though it is below freezing it will actually shrink. Ice evaporates but at a slower rate than warmer water. Leave some ice cubes in your freezer and over time you will notice them shrink. It takes a while though.
they grow by building reefs
An icicle and a plant have a few characteristics in common. An icicle can increase or decrease in size. Plants can grow (mitotic reproduction) to increase in size and can break to be reduced in size.
South of what/where?
Blueberries grow all over the northeast, and there are also species that grow in the south. For that matter, they also grow in Turkey, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.
Industry did not grow in the south colonies, because of the slave code.
Grow foods are necessary for building strong bones
i have heard that they grow up to a 2 story building.
It is a building. It does not grow.
bones do not stretch; they grow by building more cells.
