There are several reasons. Yes, they are killing the trees, and that is wrong, and occasionally it is for selfish reasons. But they often need the trees. A lot of our economy depends on trees. For example, paper. Money is made out of paper, so we need that. And our furniture. Where would we be without furniture made of the wood that comes from trees? People could argue that there are alternatives, and yes, there are, but they would be much more expensive, and finding and making these alternatives would probably create a lot of greenhouse gases so it would be worse for the environment. Also, the land is often needed for businesses, but there are ways to resolve this problem. For example, one company needed to build their building in the middle of a wooded area, so they chopped the trees and built their building, but then they created a garden on the roof to replace the area of trees they'd knocked down to create a simple solution which would also raise the morale of their workers. Everybody won from their decision.
It depends how the people will save the environment. If we try save the environment there will be moe rainforests than if we don't. It depends how the people will save the environment. Rainforests are unique due to their high levels of biodiversity, with a wide variety of plant and animal species found only in these habitats. They also play a crucial role in regulating the Earth's climate by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Additionally, rainforests are important sources of medicines and provide livelihoods for millions of people around the world.
Companies use the rainforests for the timber and wood, which we use lots. Roads are built for easy access. Cattle ranchers need the open land for their cattle and clear forest. People such as miners are digging oil rigs. Medicine purposes - The rosy perriwinkle especially Tourism Coffee and fruit production
Although rainforests cover only about a tenth of the Earth's surface, they are home to at least half of the world's species of animals and plants - that's thousands of insects alone. About 1.5 million people also live in the rainforests.

Find an economically sound reason to keep rainforests or to not destroy rainforests, and people will either try to keep the rainforests or at least stop destroying them. Also, use of force, probably through government, can stop many attempts to destroy rainforests.
i don`t know why people want to destroy the tropical rainforests. they have been on the earth longer than anyone so why destroy them? loads of animals and plants live on the earth serface. They should never destroy any rainforesets or any other forests.

People don't recycle for the rainforests. We recycle because it is the right thing to do. It is also right to fight for the integrity of the remaining rainforests; they are major oxygen producers for earth's inhabitants.
