Because they are an illusion
Storms can play a role in maintaining the health of the Earth by distributing nutrients through rainfall, replenishing water sources, and helping to regulate temperature. However, severe storms can also cause damage to ecosystems and infrastructure, so their impact on Earth's health can be both positive and negative.
An earthquake is accompanied by noise due to the release of energy stored in the Earth's crust. This energy causes rock layers to break and slip past each other, creating vibrations that produce sound waves. The noise you hear during an earthquake is a result of these vibrations traveling through the ground and air.
There are three main factors that affect the formation of tropical storms. First, tropical storms can only form over warm ocean water as it is the moisture from these oceans that fuels them. So they are mainly limited tropical regions. Second, wind shear can essentially tear a storm apart, so tropical storms usually do not form often in places with strong wind shear. As an example, the southern Atlantic ocean experiences a lot of wind shear, making tropical storms there extremely rare. Third, tropical storms need a strong Coriolis Effect to form as this is what drives their rotation. As a result tropical storms cannot form on the equator, and rarely form very close to it.
St. John's and Halifax receive a lot of precipitation due to their proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the prevailing westerly winds that bring moisture-laden air masses. Additionally, their locations in eastern Canada make them susceptible to frequent storms and low-pressure systems that can result in significant rainfall.
2005 was the most active hurricane season on record with 28 named storms and 15 hurricanes. There were so many storms the hurricane center had run out of names so the last 6 names used greek letters. By the end of August there had been 12 named storms compared to 4 by the end of August 2009.

Refrigerators make noise due to the compressor, fan, and other moving parts working to cool and circulate air. The noise is normal and indicates that the fridge is functioning properly.

It will be loud, regardless of the one you buy.
