== == Electricity is the flow of electrons. Electrons move from one atom to the next adjacent atom. Electrons exist within shells at different distances from the nucleus of the atom. Copper has only one electron in it's outermost shell and therefore it is easy to strip the electron away and move it to the next atom, which simultaneously sheds it's electron. In addition, copper is very dense, meaning that the atoms are very compact...or close together to allow this transfer more freely.

Does plutonium conduct electricity and how well?

not so well not so well

Why plastics donnot connduct electricity afterall it is made up of atoms?

The atoms it is made out of do not have 1 or 2 valence electron on the outer shell, so therefore they do not conduct electricity well. Atoms that do have 1 or 2 valence electron on the outer shell, like copper, conduct electricity well.

Which elements don't conduct electricity?

there is no element that can't conduct electricity, only elements that do it well and others that don't do it so well. Rubber is a very poor conductor of electricity, while copper, silver and gold are very good conductors.

Why do human beings conduct electricity so well?

because they do!

What is the importance for uses of minerals in a devices?

Well in order for the phone to work you have to have these curtain type of minerals like, copper, gold, ..... and so and so. If you don't have those your phone wont quite work. If you don't have a mineral that does not conduct the electricity as well.

Does oxygen conduct electricity?

oxygen does not conduct electricity because it is a gas that we breath in and a gas that we cannot see so it cannot conduct electricity.

Does camphor conduct electricity?

No, camphor does not conduct electricity. It is a type of organic compound, so it cannot ionize to conduct electricity.

Is yogurt denser than copper?

well copper etracts to electricity and yogurt doesnt so i would say yes :)

Is fabric insulator or conductor?

it's an insulator. conductors are things like metals or salts.

Why gold and copper are good conductors of an electrical current?

Yo, These 3 are the best First = Silver (Ag) Second= Copper (Cu) Third = Gold (Au)

Why can't glass conduct electricity?

Everything can conduct electricity. However, glass can only conduct electricity on a very small scale, so it cannot be used to conduct enough electricity to run anything electrical.

Does sugar in solid form conduct electricity?

well technically anything can conduct electricity..... but that doesnt mean it will be easier because of higher and lower resistances.
