Because if you walk into cold room which is dry , the sweat on the surface of the skin evaporates faster than it would in moist air at the same temperature , drawing more heat from the body. Good question.

That is because heat exites atoms and causes them to occupy more volume in space. So therefore ithe hotter your air is the thinner it is.Or vice versa the cooler it is the denser it is. I hope this helped you.

Humidity refers to the content of moisture in the air. At high humidity, the air is saturated with moisture. So, evaporation is least possible. Sweat remains on the body, without evaporating. So, you actually feel sticky and hot when there is high humidity. You will feel cool in low humidity because evaporation of sweat is faster and the water absorbs calories of heat as it evaporates, leaving you cool. I know that high humidity will not make you feel colder - if you do feel colder, it may be because of too much sweat. ( I can prove it, I'm from Mangalore, one of the stickiest coastal cities in India ).

humid air is obviously air with a high saturation of water, water works well to conduct heat and retains it for a long time, thusly, when it is humid it will be colder. however in places such as rainforests are humid but hot. this is because it is close to the equator. so in conclusion areas are often colder when humid because of the heat retension properties of water. hope this helps :)

The higher the temperature of the air the higher the amount of humidity you feel. Also the colder the airs temperature it can cause precipitation such as hail, snow, and sleet rather then just rain.

Is humidity heat?

No its the amount of moisture in the air. In effect humidity means it will be hotter with summer type temperatures (because its harder for the sweat galnds to cool yourself because of the film of moisture from humidity) and in winter humidity makes it colder (for same reason, but different effect - its a cold layer sitting on your skin and you feel 'damp'

How do interactions of temperature and humidity lead to precipitation?

because the moisture from the humidity rises up because of evaporation and the temperatur gets hotter and hotter or it can ge colder and colder and it will stat to rain
