Its caused from the temperature difference between our warm equator and cold poles. High pressure at the warm tropics wants to flow toward the low pressure at the cold poles, but the Earth's spin deflects these winds to the east so that they make a circle around the globe (in both hemispheres) moving west to east at mid-latitudes.

There are several jet streams and they come and go, but they all flow from west to east.
yes because jet can point to the east and west
Yes because of the jet stream.
The jet stream goes from west to east in the northern hemisphere. It goes from east to west in the southern hemisphere. the usa get weather from the south due to the southn weather driftting into the northern hemisphere
It's mainly due to the Jet stream - a high-speed 'corridor' of air that flows around the planet at high altitude. Additionally - the planet rotates from east to west.
monsoon
Due to the Coriolis Effect, low pressure systems in the Northern Hemisphere spiral inwards in a counter clockwise direction. This is due to the Coriolis force, which causes a body in a rotating frame to move in a perpendicular motion to the axis of rotation.
Yes because of the jet stream.
why do you think airplanes traveling in the jet stream gain speed going from west to east but lose speed from east to west
east to west

I believe East to West because the Jet Stream goes towards the East.!!
