A small earthquake that happens after a larger one is called an aftershock. Aftershocks happen because the crust in the area where the main earthquake happened is adjusting to the earthquake's effects.
Alaska has experienced several major earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.0 or greater in the last 200 years. Notably, the 1964 Alaska earthquake, also known as the Great Alaska earthquake, had a magnitude of 9.2 and is the second most powerful earthquake ever recorded.
These smaller earthquakes are called aftershocks. Aftershocks can often be as strong as the earthquake its self and there can be many.
False. The past occurrence of earthquakes does not guarantee that another earthquake won't happen in the future. Just because an area has not had an earthquake in over a hundred years does not mean that the risk of an earthquake occurring in the future is eliminated. Earthquakes can occur at any time and in any location where geological conditions are conducive to seismic activity.
The cleanup efforts after the Kashmir earthquake in 2005 took years to complete. It was a complex process that involved not just debris removal but also rebuilding homes, infrastructure, and communities that were heavily affected by the disaster. Recovery and reconstruction efforts continued for many years following the earthquake.

Life today is characterized by advancements in technology, increased globalization, and changing societal norms. Fifty years ago, there was less reliance on technology, more limited access to information, and different cultural values and lifestyle choices. Additionally, environmental concerns and awareness have become more prominent in today's society compared to fifty years ago.
50 years ago, in 1972, technology was much less advanced compared to today. Common technologies included early computers, landline telephones, television sets, and basic calculators. There were no smartphones, internet, or social media as we know them today.
The price of Television sets has been surprisingly constant (once the first technology spike has been passed) A color TV in 1960 cost as many dollars as one does today; but you are getting much more and better technology now! My guess is that they will cost just marginally more dollars (or other currency units) than sets do today.
