Hydrogen makes up 75% of the universe's known matter.

Stars are almost entirely made of hydrogen gas that is compressed in the centre of the star to such gigantic pressure that the temperature rises to such an extent that hydrogen atoms fuse together forming helium atoms. This process of 'atomic fusion' releases enormous amounts of energy - sufficient to keep stars emitting energy in the form of heat, light and radiation for millions of years. Our sun, being a typical star, is fuelled by this atomic fusion thanks to it being made almost entirely of hydrogen, providing us with all our energy needs, and providing energy for plants to grow and produce their own food through photosynthesis, and therefore, as we eat plants (or animals that eat plants) it provides every material thing we need to survive. Therefore, without hydrogen our sun would not exist, and so neither would we.

Which nonmetal in the atmosphere and their combinations are essential to life on eartj?

Oxygen is a nonmetal in the atmosphere that is essential to life on Earth. It makes up about 21% of the atmosphere and is needed for respiration in most living organisms. Nitrogen is another nonmetal in the atmosphere that is also important for life as it is a crucial component of proteins and DNA. Water vapor, a combination of hydrogen and oxygen, is also essential for life on Earth.

What are the three most important things for life on earth?

The three most important things for life on Earth are water, the atmosphere (which provides oxygen and regulates temperature), and a stable source of energy (such as sunlight) for photosynthesis and ecosystem functioning.

Why is the greenhouse effect important for sustaining life on Earth?

The greenhouse effect is important for sustaining life on Earth because it helps regulate the planet's temperature by trapping heat from the sun in the atmosphere. This process keeps the Earth warm enough for living organisms to survive and thrive. Without the greenhouse effect, the Earth would be too cold to support life as we know it.

What three things are important in earth?

Three important things on Earth are water, which sustains life; oxygen, which is essential for breathing; and biodiversity, which supports the health and balance of ecosystems.

Without what element earth wouldn't exist?

i think its Hydrogen because that's the main component of the composition of earth and i think 70% or 90% (i am not sure as to which one)of the universe is made up of hydrogen. :)

The 6 essentials elements of life to exist are: carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and sulfur. Without them, life can't exist on Earth!

What does hydrogen do for the solar system?

It plays an important role in solar system. two nuclei of hydrogen fussed in sun forming the helium nucleus and huge amount of energy which is essential for life on earth.

Why are the elements carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen important for sustaining life on Earth?

Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen are important for sustaining life on Earth because they are essential elements found in all living organisms. Carbon is the building block of organic molecules, hydrogen and oxygen are crucial for energy production and cellular processes, and nitrogen is necessary for the formation of proteins and DNA. These elements play key roles in the structure and function of living organisms, making them vital for life as we know it.

What would happen if earth had no hydrogen?

Without hydrogen, water (H2O) would not exist on Earth, eliminating the essential role it plays in sustaining life. Additionally, hydrogen is a key component of many organic compounds and fuels, so the absence of hydrogen would greatly impact various chemical processes and energy production on our planet.
